Nintendo may be the home of family-friendly gaming, but it seems to be easing off a bit on the Switch – that's the only explanation for the three slightly racy games that have just launched on the EU store.

Originally only available in Japan, the "Pure / Electric Love" series is three games in which you "talk" to attractive women on your "phone" (Switch) to unlock sexy pictures of them, along with the odd video. No, really. That's it.

You can make various choices in the conversation as you go to earn different images and movies, and then presumably ogle said unlockables at your leisure. We haven't played it yet. It's unlikely we ever will.

The only catch is that the game hasn't been translated – unless you're fluent in Japanese, then you won't understand a thing that's going on. Not that you really need to understand "woman wears revealing clothes", of course.

It's not the only softcore porn headed to Switch. The Nekopara series has already landed in Japan, and A Good Librarian Like A Good Shepherd is also launching in Asia soon. I wouldn't recommend Googling those if you're at work right now, as you might get sacked on the spot. You have been warned.

Should you want to try out the Pure / Electric Love series, each "game" (girl) costs £3.59, with additional scenarios available for £5.39 each or £7.19 in a bundle. That's around £30 if you want to talk to every woman on offer.

What a world, eh?

Katia is sick. She lies on a damp, flea-infested mattress, her body twisted in pain, begging us to make it stop.

We can’t afford to lose Katia. Mainly because Franko the trader is keen on her – he always gives her a discount.

Wait until night, when the snipers can’t see us. Then we’ll visit old Emil and Jagoda in the ruined villa. They must have medicine.

Midnight at the villa. The couple won’t trade. We’ll have to take what we need.

The half-broken lock clicks and we’re inside. Quietly now, no need for anyone to get hurt. Listen out for footsteps.

Dusty cupboards reveal little of value. What’s this? A love letter from Emil to Jagoda? Love has no meaning anymore, not in this war-blighted place.

Then, at last: medicine. We turn to leave only to hear the creak of a floorboard – Jagoda has seen us. “Emil, intruders!”

Old man Emil rushes out of the darkness, a rusty knife in his hand. He knows all too well the horrors bandits are capable of.

We mean no harm but there’s no time to explain. Emil lashes at us and we instinctively react, our crowbar shattering his skull.

Jagoda drops limply to her knees, face in her hands. “No Emil, no,” she weeps. “How will I survive without you?”Emil is dead. Katia will live. But in truth, we have all died a little tonight.

This War Of Mine’s unique and devastating power to move is fuelled by moments like this: small, piercing vignettes of pain and tragedy born from a need to survive.

Set in the midst of a brutal civil war, the game, which is now available on NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV, tasks you with keeping a tiny band of civilians alive. It’s a curious thing: part The Sims In Hell as you attempt to rebuild some semblance of a life from the rubble, part stealth game as you raid other buildings for essential supplies. But kudos to developer 11 bit Studios: it all gels thanks to the clever inter-dependencies of its elegantly simple core mechanics.
For those of you who like law and order, we’ve put in some extra effort to make the Mobile Bus Simulator Mod Apk as realistic as can be. With this upgrade, you will now get to follow traffic rules (and earn extra points while doing so), transport passengers, and let out that busty siren for the children to enjoy. You will also have the option to travel further than your pre-set location, which will reward you with fantastic perks that you can take advantage of throughout the game

Love them or hate them, Funko Pops are seemingly here to stay and it was inevitable they'd start appearing games too. Last year we saw Gears Pop arrive on mobile and now Funko Pop! Blitz is available globally for iOS and Android.

Funko Pop! Blitz then is a match-3 puzzler that's been published and developed by N3TWORK and Tic Toc Games. It will feature various Funko versions of well-known characters from across multiple franchises. At launch, these collections will include characters from the likes of Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and more.

Believed her eyes when they t'assail begun,
Goodness me, if anyone says this has been a quiet week for mobile gaming I'm afraid they're a big, fat liar. We might not have hundreds of releases to shout about, but feels like a dance of the anticipated titles.

You'll see what I mean when you get further down the list and, boy, you're going to have a good weekend, especially if you've got the cash to spare. From awesome puzzlers to exciting action games, this week's got it all.

I know which one I'll be starting with. For those of you who've read my work for a while it probably won't be hard for you to guess.

Which one's caught your eye? Let us know in those comments down below.

Old friends cannot with impunity be sacrificed for new ones.

On September 18th, Scotland votes as to whether it will become an independent country.

That's all the excuse I need to pretend that there's a massive Braveheart-style rivalry happening between England and Scotland.

Why not? Let's roll out some Scottish games and have them fight against some English ones.

What'll this achieve? Well, I can call the losers harsh words like "poop heads" and shame their sense of national pride.

Yes, obviously this is a little bit of fun, and not a serious poll. So feel free to vote for the side that you think wins based on its line-up of games in the comments section, alright?

Good. Right then. First up, in the blue corner, representing Scotland, is this lot...

The Nightmare CooperativeBy Lucky Frame - Edinburgh

A superb party-based roguelike with high replay value, sumptuous art work, and a smattering of challenging interconnecting mechanics.

Impossible RoadBy Pixels On Toast - Edinburgh

Pure in look and play, Impossible Road isn't just a game; it's a habit. You attempt to roll a ball down a curving nightmare, leaping down by accident or at your own risk.

Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasBy Rockstar North - Edinburgh

With San Andreas, the GTA series became entrenched in the early '90s hip-hop scene with its usual mix of satire, explosions, stunts, and greasy food.

Tank Battle: North AfricaBy Hunted Cow Studios - Moray

Charging into battle with tanks isn't very Scottish, really. Still, this is old-school turn-based strategy about tougher times and the units that pushed through it. Grit -that's what this is.

Fist of AwesomeBy I Fight Bears - ex-Scotland / infiltrator

While developer Nicoll Hunt has moved to London, he lets none of the Scottish spirit down when making a game about beards and punching bears.

And anyway, he'd certainly vote "Yes" for Scottish independence if he could.

Right, now that Scotland has lined itself up, pumped some iron, and is ready to shove a few fists where they shouldn't belong; let's see what England has to offer...

Monument ValleyBy ustwo - London

Not the most challenging puzzler, but Monument Valley's beautiful trickery has captivated more players than most this year.

Joe DangerBy Hello Games - Guildford

Stunt bike riding made perfect for the touchscreen. It's competitive, glorious fun and easily a mobile classic. We could even square the two countries off against each other in this game.

New Star SoccerBy New Star Games - Oxford

Ah, a classic sport and arguably in its best form here for mobile. What better way to settle a dispute by setting up a Scotland vs. England match? Let's have it, then.

Icebreaker: A Viking VoyageBy Nitrome - London

Scotland may have a spirit closer to the viking's, but it didn't create the best, wittiest, and viking-based physics puzzler on mobile, did it? Nope.

The RoomBy Fireproof Games - Guildford

Now here's something that Scotland isn't known for having - sophistication. Yes, The Room's intricate puzzles take place around and inside a series of posh boxes. Fantastic and surprising.

That's that, then.

It's time for you to vote on the nation that you think deserves to win this pretend war I've constructed for my own entertainment.

Let us know which country you think has produced the best games out of this selection we've picked.

If you have any other games you think should represent either Scotland or England, well then, we want to hear them.
